I walk through the garden

I walk through the garden
In winter, spring, summer and fall
When the ground is covered in snow
Everything barren,
only evergreens glow
I walk in the greenhouses
Where bonsais, dessert and tropical plants grow
Even in winter, trees bear fruits
big and small
I walk in the garden when ice melts
to walk among cherry blossom petals
While scents of lilacs fill the air
I walk in spring when bluebells cover the ground
Tulips of varied colors, standing tall
among flowering Magnolias
I walk through the garden in the summer
when the roses start climbing the trellis garden arches
I sit on the bench in Shakespeare's garden
and ponder on nature's beauty
marvel it's poetry
I walk through the herb garden and smell
the mints, sage and rosemary
I walk through the native garden in Autumn
when leaves change colors and fall
I walk in the garden and hear the leaves under my feet
I put my sweater and walk on
The transience of nature's beauty
give both joy and sadness
I walk and wonder
what nature has in store
beyond the gates of the garden
into the parks
into the streets
into near and distant forests
