The infinite mirror

Yayoi Kusama museum, Japan
There is only one mirror I like.
That is the mirror the artist
Yayoi Kusama showed for all to see.
She passed away at a ripe age of 97
but her life, her contribution to the
art world is as infinite as the universe.
I remember her polkadots,
the small dots
big dots,
in variety of colors
on gigantic pumpkins,
on flowers
on everything.
Her infinite mirrors
captures the essence of her
life and work as an artist
Her legacy in the art world
is as infinite as the
universe she lived in.
We visited her museum last year in Japan
If I was not mistaken, it was the only museum
there dedicated to an artist who was still alive
but I was not able to get in.
It was already full and you need reservations
so you need to prepare
way ahead of time.
So I took a Picture outside.
I did not know she was born on March 22, 2029
In New York, her work is everywhere
in the garden, in museums,
in the street,
on walls inside buildings,
in bags and scarves of ladies,
in bookmarks .
All around the world, I see her works.
for though the body is transient,
her art lives on.
