Beautiful Woman

Back in the 1970s,

there was a woman

who stood out among us.

Young women today, owe her big

for her courageous stance and ideas.

She stood her ground and was called a trailblazer.

Not all of us may agree,

but to have varied personal stance,

we respect , appreciate and acknowledge.

That is what makes our society healthy.

To be tolerant to those even when we disagree.

Those few who stood up for those who could not,

are no different from that one who sat for those who can't stand up.

Men and women acknowledge

the works of a beautiful woman.

We raise a glass

to the woman of great value

who passed away at a ripe age of 92

Two days ago.

Beauty dwells in all of you.

Gloria was the name

of the woman whose worth is beyond compare.

We are grateful for the life

and the contributions generously shared.
