Grateful for the kindness of strangers

who walked with those who are

traveling a lonely road

Grateful for those who provide roof

over the heads of those

exposed to harsh elements

Grateful for those who offered blankets

to keep warm those who shiver

in the coldest climate

Grateful for those fingers

who strummed the strings,

beat the drums,

pressed the black and white keys

to bring Harmony to All

Grateful for the hands

that carried letters

and packages of gifts

Grateful for family and friends

who gather together and share

Thanksgiving dishes

Grateful for the bells that ring

to remind us in times when we forget

Thanksgiving is a great time to remember

That we all have so much to be grateful for
