Today is the day we commemorate the dead

The memories of their lives are etched

and forever ingrained in our hearts and minds.

For every candle lit,

every rainbow we see in the sky,

every petal of flowers,

every dew drop on a leaf,

each sun ray that peeks through the tree branches,

every twinkle of the stars of night

They are reminders of our beloved departed.

They did not leave us with nothing.

They left us a trail to comfort and guide us,

to give us hope in moments of sadness,

to bring back smile to our faces.

May perpetual light shine upon all those

who have departed

May they rest in peace.
