In the 20th arrondissement,

I walked in the cemeterie

Pere Lachaise among trees

and tombs of people we know and do not know

In the 6th division,

I saw the tomb of the door's lead singer

Jim Morrison

with fresh and dried flowers

I saw the tomb of Oscar Wilde

Covered in plexiglass with lipstick marks.

I walked and passed by the tomb of Edith Piaf

who lived from December 19, 2015 to to October 10, 1963

but her music still fills the air to this day

In the street, in a carousel, next to a bridge

I walked passed tomb of Proust who loved his madeleines

and food creators and enthusiasts

that brought us the macaroons, cheese and marriage de The'

I walked passed the tomb of stage actress Sara Bernhardt

and authors like Colette, poets who wrote fables

the men and women of letters

I walked and saw the graves of musicians,

artists, Philosophers,

scientists, inventors and leaders

who left incredible mark in the world

People we know and do not know

who walked with us

I arise , I remember

and walk on
