She does not bring her pair of trusted boots out

to venture into the unknown and conquer fear

She does not remove socks and shoes to conquer pain

She does not close the eyes to go into slumber

or imagine a journey she did not take

She does not yell signs on the street she does not see

She does not hear sounds she should not hear

She does not taste that which her body would reject

She put together words in her head

Her own 10 fingers do the walking

when her feet are on the ground

She swims in the ocean without fins and gills

She soars in the sky without her wings

She does not rise up only to wait for morning to come

She summons the sun

She does not wait for darkness to envelope the earth

The moon shines when the sun sets

She does not kneel on the ground to worship the moon

She does not curse the sun when rain does not come

She does not build that which the earth will take

She does not look what she should not find

She only plays like a little child
