Dove

I remember in 1989

We were told in class to use toothpicks to make art

I was given a wooden thick board

At home, I found a Christmas card

Picasso's drawing of a Dove

I copied Picasso's bird with a leaf on it's beak

I put it in the middle of the board

I drew four hearts

One for each corner

Hearts were filled with toothpicks

The toothpick outlined the bird

I varnished it

and it glowed
